Watching the Design's acoustic trio is much like hanging out with Jen, Jimmy, and Jacob in the living room. The three are so comfortable with each other, you can't help but share a laugh or story with them.



The years they've spent together prove for endless amounts of original material, touching genres all over the spectrum. You'll undoubtedly enjoy their personal takes on songs by artists like Bob Marley, Erykah Badu, RHCP, Dispatch, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, and more.



​You might say this incarnation of the design is where it all began. A following was built when the trio played weekly at Baja Bean's open mic on the UVA Corner. The sound of their three song sets (acoustic soul, funk, and rock) ended up getting their full band a regular house gig there at Baja, and later at the Outback Lodge.
